Terms of Service.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you engage Meria Studio to provide website design, development, redesign, maintenance or related digital services. Your project quote or written agreement may include additional or different terms; where there is a conflict, the project-specific written agreement will take priority.

2. Quotes and project scope

We will confirm the agreed scope, deliverables and price before paid work begins. Requests outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately. Unless stated otherwise, a standard website project includes two reasonable rounds of revisions.

3. Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, 50% of the project fee is due before the full build begins and the remaining 50% is due before the completed website is launched or transferred. Deposits reserve project time and cover work already carried out. Third-party costs such as domains, premium software, booking tools or paid services are separate unless your quote says they are included.

4. Content and client responsibilities

You are responsible for supplying accurate text, images, branding, contact information and other content needed for the project, and for confirming that you have permission to use any materials you provide. Delays in receiving content or approvals may affect the delivery date.

5. Design, revisions and approval

We will ask you to review work at appropriate stages. Once a stage or final website is approved, later changes may be treated as additional work. We aim to fix any errors in our work promptly, but new features or changes of direction are not considered error corrections.

6. Domains, hosting and third-party services

Unless specifically included in your quote, you remain responsible for the cost and ownership of your domain name, hosting account and third-party services. We can help with setup and connection. Third-party platforms are governed by their own terms, pricing and availability.

7. Launch and ongoing support

Ongoing maintenance is not automatically included after launch unless your quote says otherwise. Maintenance, content updates and future improvements can be provided separately.

8. Intellectual property

Once the project has been paid in full, you may use the final website and project-specific design work for your business. Meria Studio retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, reusable code, processes and know-how. Unless you ask us not to, we may display completed work in our portfolio and marketing.

9. Cancellation

If a project is cancelled after work has started, amounts already paid may be retained to cover work completed and project time reserved. If completed work exceeds the amount already paid, we may invoice for the additional work carried out up to the cancellation date.

10. Liability

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party services, outages, client-supplied content, unauthorised changes after handover, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
